The Vista Shores Experience
Our scenic Vista Shores senior living community has three distinctive "neighborhoods" occupied by residents with shared abilities in order to provide optimum socialization and personalized care. Private one and two-bedroom apartments are available within each neighborhood, while our third floor is reserved exclusively for our Alzheimer's and dementia care residents. Additional levels of support are provided based upon the particular needs of each resident. Residents who require minimal assistance with day-to-day living can enjoy a feeling of independence akin to living at home, without the chores and stress of managing a household. Residents with memory impairment are provided with higher levels of care and security through individualized programs that enrich their lives and enable them to function at the highest possible level.

Our approach focuses on understanding the personal history and lifestyle of each resident, so that they can continue to live in a way that feels comfortable and familiar, while receiving the assistance and support needed to live their best lives.
As the executive director of Vista Shores, Courtney oversees all community operations to ensure that residents receive the highest quality of care possible. Courtney has more than 10 years of experience in the senior care industry, including past positions at the East Baton Rouge Council on Aging and as both an executive director and assistant executive director. She has a Master of Arts degree in mass communications with a concentration in healthcare administration. Courtney believes in focusing on what a resident can do rather than what they can’t, and trains her team to support and encourage the residents they serve. At Vista Shores, Courtney ensures that the activities calendar is always full, and she goes the extra mile to plan interesting, engaging events that provide an active and exciting lifestyle for her residents. Courtney is on the board of directors for several organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association of New Orleans, New Orleans Continuity of Care, and Divine Touch Healthcare Training.
NCC, LPC, Memory Care Director
Tracy brings a diverse depth of experience in counseling, teamwork, and communication best practices in a clinical mental health setting to her role as Vista Shores’ Memory Care Director. Tracy holds both a degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health & School Counseling from Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans and she is currently working towards earning her PhD as a Counselor Educator and Supervisor. Prior to joining the Vista Shores team, Tracy gained experience in a similar role as the Social Services & Admissions Coordinator at a skilled nursing community. Tracy chose her career path as the result of a true passion and calling for serving the elderly, and her natural ability to build strong relationships with residents and effectively and compassionately engage them in therapeutic care plans make Tracy’s guidance a vitally important aspect of the exceptional care offered at Vista Shores.
